Alpha Chi Omega was founded on October 15, 1885 at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana by seven determined young women. Today, Alpha Chi has over 200,000 members located throughout the world. There are 135 collegiate chapters on university campuses throughout the United States and over 200 alumnae chapters. On September 25, 1982 the Zeta Pi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega was the 13th National Panhellenic group to join the Arizona State University Greek Community and our Chapter still stands strong today.
